NTH Smyrna offers two distinctive recreational programs. Our recreational league is for all players ages 3 to 19. Players are placed onto a team and compete in a league format, with weeknight practices and a parent volunteer coach assigned to each team. Our Little Lions program is for players 18 months to 3 years old at the start of the program. Players in the Little Lions program can choose to participate either on Saturdays at Jonquil Park or Sundays at Riverline Park. Each session will last 45 minutes and will be led by one of our staff coaches. All sessions are at 2:15, 3:00, or 3:45 on either day.

Uniforms:  Please note that the Smyrna branch requires a uniform for all ages in our recreational league program, from U4 to U19. All players must purchase a blue uniform and a white uniform as required on the soccer.com NTH site. Little Lions players will be provided a uniform. Returning players are exempt from purchasing the uniform if they still have all of the pieces. All players must bring shin guards, a soccer ball, and water to games and practices. Practices and Requests:  Practices are held Monday through Thursday night. Practice nights are determined by your volunteer coach. When registering, you are allowed to request a team/teammate/or coach, practice location, and practice blackout night. You will also be asked which of these preferences are most important to you. We will do our best to honor all requests, but please note we can not guarantee any individual request. Participants in the Little Lions program will get to choose their time and day at the point of registration. It is recommended that if you want to participate with a friend during these sessions that you coordinate with their parents to sign up for the same time and day. Each session is limited to 25 participants.

Schedules:  Practices are held at either Jonquil Park or Riverline Park, based on team availability. Games for U10 and younger are held on Saturdays at Jonquil Park. Games for U12 and older are held at Riverline Park and can be either Saturday or Sunday. U12 and older teams are interscheduled with other NTH branches or local soccer clubs. Please be prepared to travel for some of these games. Game times are determined by the size of each division and availability of the fields. We estimate playing 6-8 games per season.

For the Spring 2024 season, practices will begin the week of February 19. Games will begin the weekend of March 2. The league will be off from March 30 through April 7. We anticipate ending our season May 4 weekend.

City Fees:  All programs at NTH Smyrna will include the city of Smyrna park usage fee as part of the registration fee.  The city's park usage fee is assessed by the city of Smyrna upon all participants in a sports program.  All participants will be charged $40 to participate in the program, but residents of the city of Smyrna will be able to receive $25 back after they are able to prove their residency.
