NASA Tophat Referee Program

Referees are fundamental to our game and vital to our operations. We strive to treat all members of the game with respect, and referees are among the groups we are always looking to improve and help advance as their careers dictate. Please note that the certification process is recommended for people 13 years or older. A successful referee is one who is knowledgeable about the game, on time, and responsible for their craft. Our referee assignor is Paul Hofmann and he can be reached at refassignor@nasatophat.com.

Referee Certification and GameOfficials:

All referees must be certified by the USSF and Georgia Soccer. Instructions on how to become a referee are available HERE. NASA Tophat utilizes the GameOfficials assigning system for all officials. The NASA Tophat GameOfficials group is 1545 and the password to join the group is  NASATophat. Please note that NASA Tophat utilizes direct deposit for all games (except for ECNL and SCCL Summer League). Games are paid out every two weeks on a rolling basis.

Referee Courses:

USSF and Georgia Soccer offer certification classes throughout the year during the off season, typically between July and August for the fall, and January and February for the spring. Please note that most of the coursework for this class is done online, while there will be about 1 hour of in person classroom instruction with 4 hours of field work.

NASA Tophat will be hosting a referee course Saturday, August 12 at the Metro North clubhouse. Registration is available until August 9. Registration is available on the US Soccer website HERE, please email Paul Hoffmann with more questions.
